Jasmine rice (Thai Hom Mali)

ข้าวหอมมะลิ

Fragrant long-grain rice of Thailand. "Jasmine" is a market name; Thai Hom Mali rice is defined by a Thai Agricultural Standard (TAS 4000) and must come from the cultivars Khao Dawk Mali 105 or RD15. Khao Dawk Mali 105 is a pure-line selection from a fragrant landrace collected around 1950 in Bang Khla, Chachoengsao, and released in 1959.
