Profile

The USDA germplasm record lists Della as an aromatic long-grain cultivar developed cooperatively by USDA-ARS and the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station, released in 1971, with 19% amylose and light-brown bran. Its long-grain class means a brown-rice length of 6.61–7.50 mm with a length-to-width ratio over 3.0; the dimensions on this page are estimated from that class.
