Origin and character
The WUR Potato Pedigree Database records Premiere as a cross of Civa and Provita by F. Brands, with 1979 as its year. Agrico now markets it as one of its "Agrico Originals".
Agrico classes it as a first early, with oval-round tubers of average size, yellow skin and light yellow flesh. Its sheet gives a dry matter of 22.4 %, cooking type "floury / BC" and a good fries quality, but rates it unsuitable for crisps.
